Jun 25: Anybody seen a lost goldfish? Answers to the name of “Goldie”…

I recently collaborated with Brad Shur, Brenda Huggins, Phil Berman, Kaitee Tredway, and others under the direction of Roxanna Myhrum for an outdoor giant puppet show!

Goldie, a Puppet Showplace Theater production, follows the journey of a boy (Brad) who has lost his pet goldfish, Goldie. With the help of his rambunctious little sister (me), the boy sets out to find Goldie, only to encounter rhyming pirates (Phil and Kaitee), a singing siren (Brenda), and a band of seahorses (played by kid volunteers from the audience). Happily, Goldie is found in the end…as are some tasty Goldfish crackers.

The show was presented by the Somerville Arts Council at Glen Park in East Somerville, and was great fun and well-received by multi-lingual kids from toddlers to elementary school. See more pictures in our Boston.com photo feature!
