I’m delighted to be making my Huntington Theatre Company debut playing a variety of maids, patients, and 19th-century vaudeville girls in Ether Dome, a new historical drama (with many darkly comic moments!) by Elizabeth Egloff, directed by Michael Wilson.
It’s about the discovery of anesthesia, and much of the story takes place right here in Boston: etherization was first demonstrated at Mass. General Hospital in a surgical theatre (haha) that was thereafter dubbed the “Ether Dome.” Read more about the play in this Boston Globe preview!
