Feb 15-17, 2013: EEP! Show development workshop with NXR

In this whirlwind three-week development workshop to launch New Exhibition Room‘s new project, EEP! Show, eight adults and one awesome ten-year-old joined forces to investigate the broad themes of women and fear.

We created sketches for scenes, dance-fights, pop songs, superhero sequences, theatrical choose-your-own-adventures.

We listened to Beyonce. We listened to Ke$ha. We listened to director/dramaturg A. Nora Long’s hilarious summary of the history of women’s legal status in the United States.

We ate cupcakes.

And then, we invited our theatrical friends to visit us and chat with us about the direction of the piece, which will receive a full production in August at the Boston Playwrights’ Theater.

We fed them cupcakes, too.
